What is lactose intolerance, and how does lactase help?
Around two in three adults worldwide produce less lactase as they get older. Without enough of this enzyme, the lactose in dairy isn't digested properly, and that's when the symptoms start.
The cause
Your gut makes too little lactase, the enzyme that breaks down lactose, the natural sugar in milk.

Ari grew up relying on strong lactase tablets in Germany. When she moved to France and then the UK, she found most people had never heard of them, and the ones on sale were weak or full of fillers. So in 2020 she started Lea Gogo.

How fast does Lea Gogo work?
Take one tablet just before you eat or drink dairy. It starts working within 2–3 minutes and covers roughly an hour of eating. For long, dairy-heavy meals, take another after 45–60 minutes.
How many lactase tablets do I need per meal?
For most meals, one 12,500 FCC tablet is enough. Very large or dairy-heavy meals may need a second. Our lactose calculator gives food-by-food guidance.

Is it safe to take every day?
Lactase is a digestive enzyme your body already makes. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication, check with your doctor first.
Is lactose intolerance the same as a milk allergy?
No. Lactose intolerance is difficulty digesting milk sugar; a milk allergy is an immune reaction to milk protein and can be serious. Lactase does not help with a milk allergy.
